Private School Entrance Exam English Preparation

Small group sessions for children preparing for private school entrance exams that assess reading comprehension, including longer written responses, and creative writing in response to a prompt.

Children learn how to understand what each question requires, select relevant evidence and structure clear, detailed comprehension answers. We practise developing explanations, embedding quotations and responding fully to questions that require longer written answers.

For creative writing, children practise interpreting the prompt, planning their ideas and producing engaging, well-structured writing with carefully chosen vocabulary.

Mondays, 5:00–6:15 p.m.
Dates: 12, 19 and 26 October; 2 and 9 November 2026
