📘 Get Ready for Year 4 (2026) – Maths Only Course
Give your child a confident start to Year 4 with this structured one-week Maths course designed for children currently in Year 3.
Running from Monday 17th – Friday 21st August, this course focuses on strengthening core number skills while introducing the reasoning and problem-solving approaches needed for a smooth transition into Year 4 and early 11+ preparation.
Each session is 1 hour daily, delivered in a small group setting to ensure clear explanation, strong engagement, and opportunities for every child to participate.
Throughout the week, students will build confidence in:
Place value and number understanding
Addition and subtraction, including word problems
Multiplication and division foundations
Approaching multi-step problems with clarity
Identifying relevant information and explaining their thinking
Lessons are carefully structured to develop both accuracy and reasoning, helping students feel more secure and capable as they move into Year 4.
This course is ideal for children who would benefit from a focused boost in Maths before the new school year, particularly those beginning to develop skills for future 11+ learning.
By the end of the week, parents will have a clearer understanding of their child’s current level, along with guidance on what to focus on over the remainder of the summer.
