π Get Ready for Year 4 (2026) β English & Maths Summer Course
Give your child a confident start to Year 4 with this structured one-week course designed for children currently in Year 3.
Running from Monday 17th β Friday 21st August, this course introduces key English and Maths skills needed for the transition into Year 4, while gently building early foundations for 11+ preparation.
Each day includes 1 hour of Maths and 1 hour of English, with a short break in between. Lessons are delivered in small groups online or f2f to ensure focus, engagement, and clear explanation of concepts.
In English, students will develop vocabulary, learn how to understand unfamiliar words using context, and build essential comprehension skills such as inference and identifying key ideas. In Maths, sessions focus on number fluency, problem solving, and reasoning skills to strengthen confidence with core topics.
This course is ideal for children who are ready to stretch beyond the classroom and benefit from a structured boost before the new school year.
By the end of the week, parents will have a clearer understanding of their childβs current level, along with guidance on what to focus on for the remainder of the summer.
Options available: English only, Maths only, or both subjects.
English sessions available online or face-to-face (CR2). Maths delivered online.
